Terrible experience with budget

They did not have the car on site at the pickup time and told me I would need to wait an hour. This is a common thing for them, according to reviews. They have me the wrong car, a tiny little car, instead of what I booked. They wanted me to sign the 'no visible damage' report without seeing the car, which I refused - which was good because it did have visible damage. There was garbage inside the car under the seat. They would not accept my visa card as payment for the deposit. They did not honor the zero dollar deductible I already paid for with my voucher and instead made it $300. In total, a terrible rental experience.

Budget rental was really easy and the Yaris was perfect for my needs this trip. I would have no problem booking this vehicle again. One note, I was not aware of the KM limit when I picked the vehicle up … it probably mentioned but I did not process it. FYI: Rear wiper blade needed replacement when picked up this vehicle

“Cheapest car hire rates I found for my dates.”

The car was exactly what I had booked but I did not enjoy or find this model that safe to drive. The wing mirrors provide such a small area to view that the blind spots are huge. I counted three seconds on a highway where a car was out of view. This meant that, even with checking my blind spots, I nearly crashed twice (and I’m a good driver!) when changing lanes.

A good search site and cheapest deal I could find. I don’t think the price drop worked for me but good to have in case the price goes down.

“Terrible service by the counter staff.”

The car was OK, clean and did the job. But the service provided by the counter staff was lousy. It took 1.5 hrs waiting time for a car which was reserved months ago. Budget will never see me again as a customer.
