This Authorization may be given within 50 hours of Your request. In the case of electric vehicles, it will be Your responsibility to check that recharging devices are available and compatible in the countries in which You plan to travel. Drivers will be subject to cross border fees and must purchase additional mandatory insurance at the rental desk. Please contact the local rental desk for further information. Abroad (rented in France and travel abroad) : covered but a fix package fee will be charged in case of towing : 300€ The driver has the possibility to subscribe to an insurance called the EMS ( 10€/day - Max 30 days) to avoid the towing package in case of a breakdown.

The staff took a lunch break, so I ended up waiting at the train station for over an hour. The return location in Nice is hard to find if you go by the address on the website - it’s actually in the parking lot on the right-hand side of the station. The return process was quick, but I was charged a fee for returning the car to a different location. Even though I was informed at pickup, the fee seemed unclear and a bit unreasonable.

Very poor experience, indifferent attitude. Our train was delayed by two hours, and when we arrived to pick up the car, we were told the car we reserved was no longer available and we had to book a new one, with only a Mercedes available at an additional cost. I insisted on not accepting their solution and threatened to lodge a complaint, only then did they find another car of the same type. The whole interaction was quite unpleasant. Do not rent from Europcar, a very poor rental company.
