The queue was very slow and the service attitude was stiff. The only pleasant surprise was a free upgrade to a Jaguar XF, and this car had only 7000+ kilometers on it. Picking up the car was quite smooth once we got the keys at the counter.
I was two and a half hours late to pick up the car and was told the vehicle was no longer available. Communication with customer service was unhelpful (they said it was my fault for not reading the rental terms). I had to negotiate with the car rental company myself, and they finally resolved it (originally rented at Terminal 2, but they contacted Terminal 1 where a car was available).
Picking up and returning the car was quite convenient. However, due to the exchange rate conversion between Euros and USD (my domestic credit card is a dual currency card for RMB and USD), Europcar in Paris charged a 6% service fee (over $50) without prior notice. This is extremely dishonest!
Waited at Frankfurt Airport. The car I booked wasn't ready. The rental company asked me to pay extra for a different car, but when I refused, they finally got me the same model. The return process was smooth; they just checked briefly and it was all good.
