The counter staff in particular Mr a Patel was very rude. I've emailed a complaint to Green motion regarding what ID is required. On their website & on the recorded information when you call the branch they state you only need a driving licence & proof of address, I didn't arrive on a flight. I had to return back home to get my passport a 40 mile round trip.
The staff were not British, had very heavy accents, which made it hard to understand them. They were unprofessional and did not offer any explanations or suggestions. The rental cost shown was £231, but I ended up paying £780.95. They required an additional £440 for insurance (for 2 people) and £110 for a second driver. A Visa card without the UnionPay logo was needed for payment, which was a bit frustrating.
The order reminder was to call the car rental company upon arriving in Manchester, they would pick us up at the airport and take us to the rental location. On June 15th, after we arrived at the airport, we contacted the rental company several times, and each time they said they would come immediately. Even the staff at the airport information desk and the traffic coordinators helped us call the rental company. However, we waited at the airport for over an hour before they arrived. When we finally got to the rental location, there were only three customers ahead of us, but we still had to wait another hour. During the car pick-up procedures, the staff continuously tried to sell us insurance. On June 17th, when we returned the car, the company claimed we had exceeded the mileage by 190 miles and needed to pay extra. We pulled out our rental order, which clearly stated a maximum of 432 kilometers. The initial mileage was 6333 miles, and when we returned the car, it was 6570 miles, totaling 237 miles, which is 379.2 kilometers, not exceeding the 432-kilometer limit. After we pointed this out, the staff apologized and admitted their mistake. The service of this car rental company is truly subpar, and we will be more cautious in choosing next time.

The price I thought I was going to pay was no where near the final price. You should be upfront on prices, because you know at the end of the day you know people are in a place where they cant say forget I’ll go somewhere else. They just want to be on their way. Also, you have to get out of the space you currently in, it is way to packed. People shouldn’t have to lug their bags to the bus because there’s no room for the bus to turn around.
I wasn’t happy with the attempt to upsell me when I picked up the vehicle - I can only think the staff must be on significant commission if they achieve this. Only glad I picked it up, not feeling my sharpest after a long haul flight.
Otherwise excellent.

Green motion takes a little long on pick up and they try to upsell unnecessary insurance. Vehicles usually good condition and price is competitive. Location is usually away from terminal at airports. Would use again of price is right
