First, the car provided was not a Volvo C40, but a Toyota SUV. They said it belongs to the same group. I had no choice but to accept it due to my travel plans. The key issue was that the Toyota had three minor scratches, and I had to record a video to avoid being blamed for them when returning the car.
Second, they requested the car be returned with a 75% charge, which was only mentioned verbally. I think this is unreasonable; since they charged a 70 CHF deposit, they could deduct it from there. Driving from the city center to the airport and still maintaining 75% charge is extremely difficult. These are the aspects I was dissatisfied with regarding Hertz in Zurich. However, when I returned the car at their Geneva branch, there were no issues. The car's battery wasn’t at 75%, which is practically impossible to achieve, but the staff in Geneva were polite and said everything was good.
Hertz is considered a major brand in the area, so there’s generally no worry about being scammed. However, if you didn’t purchase full coverage, it’s still a good idea to carefully inspect the car before driving.
Very good and efficient. This time, the staff gave me a choice and allowed me to pick a slightly lower grade car while including insurance for a second driver. In the end, I chose this car model. The car was very new, having only been driven 2,000 kilometers, and it had GPS.
Very good and efficient. This time, the staff at the store provided me with multiple options, including the choice of a slightly lower-grade car and offering free insurance for a second driver. I ultimately chose this car model. The car is very new, with only 2,000 kilometers on it and equipped with GPS.
I had a great car rental experience during my self-drive trip in Switzerland. First of all, the car rental company's service was very professional. The process from pick-up to drop-off was smooth, the vehicle was clean and tidy, and although the performance was average and felt a bit underpowered on mountain roads, there’s nothing to complain about. After all, you get what you pay for. The staff was also very friendly and efficient, making the whole pick-up process very simple.
The front desk service attitude was very poor, their English was bad and unclear. They were very friendly to foreigners but showed a cold attitude towards Asian faces.
