Enterprise offers great value. Since the large company didn't have automatic small cars available at that time, they upgraded us for free to a brand-new 2024 larger car with unlimited mileage. The car was excellent to drive, equipped with assisted driving and CarPlay. Highly recommended!
There were no issues during my self-drive trip in the UK, and the overall car rental experience was good. However, problems arose after returning the car. Nearly 20 days after I returned to my country, the rental company unilaterally claimed that there was damage to the front windshield. The car passed inspection when I returned it, so how can they determine it happened during my rental period after such a long time? Moreover, they provided no pictures or other evidence, just a £250 damage invoice. Thankfully, I had locked my credit card in advance. Last year, I rented cars twice in San Francisco and just dropped off the keys without any problems. I didn't expect UK car rental companies to be so tricky. I hope Zuzuche can remind tourists planning to rent cars in the UK to make sure they keep video evidence when returning the car. When I returned mine, the staff at the time simply looked around, recorded the mileage, and told me I was good to go. Perhaps they noticed I didn’t have any evidence and pulled this stunt because of it.
