The process was quite smooth, no upselling. I purchased full insurance from the rental company, the type that doesn't require reimbursement back home. Planned to land at 6 pm and booked the car for 7 pm. The flight arrived earlier than expected, and I reached the counter 45 minutes ahead of time. I was told I had to wait or pay extra to switch to a BMW 3-series, but I declined. Spent the next 45 minutes playing cards at the airport. For future reference, you can schedule the car pickup for a later time, but it's not allowed for an earlier pickup.
Overall, the process of picking up and returning the car went smoothly, but it felt like the tank wasn't completely full at pickup. The car was switched to a different model last minute. Although they offered the option to switch to a larger car, I still prefer getting the model I originally reserved.
