The rental company forced me to purchase full car insurance without my knowledge and did not confirm that this was a reimbursable expense, which violated my personal interests.
There were hidden charges, and the staff was generally unfriendly. I clearly stated in English that we already had full coverage and didn't need additional insurance. The staff member verbally acknowledged this, but the contract still included the car rental company's full insurance by default. I specifically clarified verbally, but faced with a contract full of incomprehensible terms, a long queue behind me, and an impatient staff urging me, I had no signal and couldn't even use my phone to translate the contract. Should I hold up the line to translate every word of the contract or just trust the verbal assurance and sign? The company takes advantage of such situations to add hidden insurance without any hesitation, and since I signed the contract, there's no way for me to contest it! The pickup and drop-off process were fairly smooth though. Besides the snow mountains, there is nothing interesting in Serbia. Don't go, it's a poor place.
The charges were unclear. The order was 38 euros, but with an additional driver and mandatory insurance, it became over 80 euros. There was a parking ticket of 18 euros with an additional 20-euro service fee, and finally, they charged 50 euros, saying it included taxes. In the end, various fees were added. I don't recommend this company; renting a small car for one day cost nearly a thousand yuan.
Upgraded to automatic transmission. Great car and only address needs to be updated more accurately. Both Avis and Easyrentcars.com still reflect the old address.

Avis Belgrade, is pretty slow in service. Though pickup didn't bothered me much, drop off took almost 2hrs. Luckily I had time in my hand or else I would have missed my flight.
There was a minor scratch on the car for which they charged me almost 400 euros. Bad part is the charge was mentioned on the invoice as insurance premium.
Thanks ERC, they managed to convince Insurer about the genuineness of the charges.

Price drop protector is a great option. It saved me 10% as ERC auto booked me with lower price. ERC was also very co-operative in helping me on insurance claim. I have purchased additional coverage from them which took care of access charged by Avis.
The Zuzuche platform is great, but the Avis company is really disappointing. At the pickup, they insisted my credit card was a debit card. I've used this credit card for over 10 years, what is there to argue about? Then they said it’s fine, as long as I purchase full insurance, they would accept it. At that moment, I understood their game. Full insurance cost 110,000 dinars, which is roughly over 7,000 RMB. With no other choice, I had to reluctantly agree since I was already there.
The originally booked car model was unavailable, and only two options were provided—one could only seat two people, so we had to reluctantly accept a larger model. Moreover, the insurance for the larger model was extremely expensive. Additionally, there were no clear indications that the main driver couldn't be changed on-site. Since the person who made the reservation wasn't the main driver, we had to pay extra to add a secondary driver.
The car provided was different from the one I booked, and the price increased considerably. The staff said the price I booked didn't include insurance, and it had to be upgraded, resulting in a much higher cost than expected.
