The Budget SFO branch had a long queue, but one staff member (an elderly Asian man) was working very slowly, taking over 30 minutes with one customer while 20 people waited behind. This was very frustrating. The young man who assisted me was quite fast though.
Overall acceptable, but the rear tires of the car were completely worn out. It was raining when picking up the car, so I didn't notice it. There were two instances of skidding, luckily everything went fine during the trip.
Budget have disappointed me. The quality of the car however was budget, so I suppose I should accept it for what it was, cheaper, unreliable and budget through and through. Even charged me ridiculous amounts at the end for fuel and tolls.
It was very easy to find the car rental and return location. Just follow the metro loop line to the blue rental car company at San Francisco airport, and return the car by following the navigation. Driving along Highway 1 was incredibly beautiful.
