The car handled really well but only after the lane control was turned off.
It would be good if customers were advised about the lane control system and how to turn it off as it was terrible to drive through the winding hill roads with it on. The car interior was dirty and should have been cleaned before hiring it out.
The vehicle exceded my expectation and was in very good condition and very clean. Pick up and drop off processes were very simple and fast. The staffs were also very helpfull.

The overall service was mediocre, with unclear charges. There was no information provided about the fee standard for returning a car without a full tank of gas, and I ended up paying an additional 90 NZD. I returned the car with about 15% fuel left because refueling in the city felt inconvenient. I asked the staff if I could pay for refueling at their location and for an approximate cost. They mentioned the price was similar to the market rate, so I decided not to refuel myself. I assumed it wouldn’t cost much, around 15-20 NZD at most. I also asked if I needed to sign anything for the charge, and they said no, the amount would be directly deducted from my deposit card. In the end, 90 NZD was charged. I have emailed ACE to inquire about the charging standards, and the experience was disappointing.
The store is very easy to find, located right next to the Sky Tower. The staff at the pickup location were very friendly and had a great attitude. The car was in excellent condition, and they even upgraded it for free. During the rental period, I used a toll highway once and paid the toll online following a friend's instructions. Later, after returning to my home country, I received a notification about a credit card charge. I contacted QEEQ and explained it was for the toll fee. I shared my toll payment record with QEEQ, and they reached out to the rental company. After investigation, it was confirmed that the toll payment had not gone through successfully at the time. However, the rental company still refunded the fine to me. The communication was very proactive and excellent!
