A mess at pickup. I went to the spot assigned to me and someone was loading the car I was assigned. A service person had changed car and given him "my" car. So I was given another car and had to eait for updating the system. Also they charged almost 300 USdollar for "fuel service". I rented "full to full" so this is a plain scam.
After returning a car the Budget company immediately charged us for additional 137,69 USD for "optional services", which were not ordered. Budget did that without any clarification. We had no accidents, no police problems, no road tolls. the worst is that we asked for a clarification, but the Budget refused to do it!
After renting a car from this company and following the airport instructions to reach the pickup point, the staff added four extra insurance options without informing me during the car pickup process. This resulted in an additional charge of 1700 RMB for my 6-day trip, which I found extremely unreasonable! Later, during my rental period, the car was broken into and my luggage was stolen. Among the four insurances, there was one for personal belongings, but despite the company being aware of my coverage, they failed to inform me. This led to both wasted payments of 1700 RMB and no compensation for my lost luggage. Extremely disappointing! Everyone, please be cautious.
This car rental company is a big scam. I picked up the car at the airport location. I had already purchased insurance through the platform, but when I picked up the car, the front desk staff told me I needed to pay a $250 deposit. I had seen this pre-authorization deposit mentioned on the platform before, so I didn't think too much about it. He also told me the money would be refunded after I returned the car. However, after returning the car, the full $250 was charged. They claimed it was for insurance and some other items. But when the front desk staff swiped my card, they didn’t explain any cost details or introduce any charges; they just said it was a deposit. This is outright deceptive and misleading! I’ve never encountered anything like this before.
The car pickup and usage were fine, but after returning the car, the rental company charged numerous hidden fees. Despite returning the car with a full tank, they still charged over $30 for fuel. Additionally, there were $430 charges for personal and other insurance that were not mentioned during pickup. The issue has not yet been resolved.
