The overall service was average, possibly due to my own lack of English proficiency. After completing the paperwork, there was no handover process; I had to go to the parking lot to find the car myself. When I couldn't locate the car, I had to return to the office for assistance. Once I found the car, the cleanliness was poor, and the display screen was unclear.
There weren't enough staff at reception. I waited for two hours, and the reserved car model was not available. They just provided whatever they had. Extremely frustrating.
During winter, renting a car often leads to unstable tire pressure. After replacing the car, they actually downgraded me to a lower-class vehicle—it wasn’t even an E-Class. The store told me that Etoll was mandatory, which I found strange. Can’t I just use toll-free lanes? On top of that, tire pressure dropped again with the second car. I’ll never use Budget again.
The car was very new, with only a little over a thousand miles on it. However, the tank wasn't full, and the vehicle wasn't thoroughly inspected during pickup. I'll make sure to take photos next time for documentation.
Make sure to check if the fuel tank is full when picking up the car. Mine wasn't full, so I informed them, which meant I didn't need to refill it completely when returning the car.
After reading the Budget reviews, I was a bit concerned. I have to say on arrival it was a very pleasant experience with helpful and friendly staff. The car was what we expected in size and fitted our luggage perfectly. I would definitely recommend and will be using again.
