There was no attempt to upsell insurance during pickup, and the service was good. The Q5 provided had over 60,000 kilometers and multiple scratches and scuffs around the car. The windshield wipers made a loud noise and should be replaced. Although the scratches were clearly marked on the rental agreement, the return staff meticulously inspected the car, seemingly looking for new damage. Fortunately, I had taken timestamped photos of every scratch during pickup, ensuring a smooth return process.
“El coche correcto, pero Sicily By Car me estafaron.”
About Sicily By Car:5.0/10
It was average. I reserved a Volkswagen Golf but was given a brand I hadn't used before. The car's condition was mediocre, it was very noisy, and there were constant maintenance reminders.
There was only one guy with limited English proficiency when I picked up the car. He said the car was upgraded, but the fuel tank wasn't full and there were scratches on the car. Thankfully, I took photos as a precaution after asking him about it. When I returned the car, he claimed the fuel wasn't topped off, but I showed him the photos as evidence.
It was alright. I rented a Q5, but the vehicle provided was not of the same class—it was a lower-tier small car, the domestic model Deep Blue. This had never happened before.
