The rental service quality is excellent, no upselling. Since the small car we booked was unavailable, they upgraded us for free. The car was in good condition, full tank on pickup and return, quick drop-off process, and deposit was refunded immediately.
Initially, I received the reserved Peugeot 508, which was brand new with less than 1000 kilometers. Unfortunately, the air conditioning broke down after a day. Luckily, I was in Paris, so I went to the airport to exchange the car and was given a Ford KUGA hybrid with 8000 kilometers. It had more space and was fuel-efficient. When picking up the car, they only asked about insurance and explained how to claim it with the insurance I bought from QEEQ. There was no further upselling, and the service attitude was excellent.
A brand-new car with 7,000 km was provided, and the return process was simple—just a quick inspection. The deposit was refunded the next day. Overall, French drivers are very rule-abiding, so as long as your skills are above average and you don't speed, there's no need to buy additional insurance!
I was informed that the assigned car had some scratches on the front and back, but the rental company said they were aware of it and it was fine. I found the vehicle acceptable. No staff accompanied me for the vehicle inspection during pickup, so I checked the car myself and recorded a video. However, the scratch on the front windshield, which was difficult for users to notice and not visible in the video, was not pointed out or detected during pickup. I noticed the scratch after leaving the lot on the same day but didn't pay much attention because it was small. During drop-off, the inspector immediately pointed it out and demanded compensation for the front windshield, stating that any damages discovered after leaving the lot could not be used as proof of non-responsibility. I was asked to pay €85 on the spot, and I had no choice but to comply. However, I later received an email claiming that €85 wasn't enough and that an additional €800+ was required. Choose carefully! This Alamo, National, and Enterprise branch in Paris appear to be operated as a single entity.
Very satisfied! The store provided us with a 9-seater van instead of a 6-seater business car. Although the vehicle was bigger, it was easy to operate, and the interior space was comfortable.
